The Park of Reynou, Le Vigen, Limoges

Périgord-Limousin Nature Reserve
On the borders of the Aquitaine and the Limousin regions, between the towns of Angoulême, Limoges and Périgueux, is a 1800 square kilometres stretch of unspoilt country, the Périgord-Limousin. The park conducts various outings through-out the year with themes such as Astromony, Fauna, Flora and Gastronomy.

The Wolves of Chabrières (Les Loups de Chabrières), Guéret
Just south of Guéret, is the Chabrières forest, home to several packs of wolves. At this wildlife park you can observe European, Albertan and Mackensian wolf packs in a natural environment, which is sanctuary for solitary and dependent animals. (French Site)

Lac de St.Pardoux
Just of the A20 North of Limoges and only 20 minutes from La Maison Rose, Lac de St.Pardoux has exceptional value, aqua-tobogganing, hydroplaning, windsurfing and catamarans, fishing, tennis, horse riding, swimming and sunbathing on some of the safest lakeside beaches in Europe. Lac de Vassivière
With 1000 hectares of water and 45kms of lakeside, Lac de Vassivière is one not to be missed. A vast lake for windsurfing, canoeing, water-skiing, sailing, boat excursions and fishing. Sandy beaches for bathing and paths for rambling, horse riding or cycling. Horses and cycles can be hired on the sites. There is a sculpture park for cultural strolls through the woods and the island in the middle of the lake is home to an ambitious Contemporary Art Museum designed by the late Aldo Rossi.
